BOSTON SCIENTIFIC HOLOLENS
SITUATION
Boston Scientific needed to demonstrate three different products in a unique, technically impressive way. They also wanted to incorporate a game into their booth space. We delivered just that!

CREATIVE PROCESS AND RESULTS
Created by RainDrop

360° 3D ANIMATIONS
RainDrop had created several traditional animations for Boston Scientific that they were able to re-purpose for this deliverable. The animations were created as 360-degree 3D animations and inserted as additional information for several sections of the experience.

HOLOGRAPHIC ANIMATION OF CATHETER
A holographic animation was created for several of their products. This specific one had the most amount of user interaction as they can alter what is actual seen in the animation live.

DESIGNING THE BLOOD CLOT
Here is a close up image of a near final design concept of the blood clot. The HoloLens has very minimal computational capacity so getting the animation to look, feel and move correctly on the small processor was tricky but we are very happy with our results.

PRELIMINARY BABY TUMOR MODEL
Here is a first stage 3D model of an initial "baby tumor." We have both baby and adult tumors in the game section of the HoloLens app. This was provided to Boston Scientific for their feedback.

IN-GAME TUMOR ACTION
Here is an action shot of the final adult tumor as it shoots at the user. Watch out!

ALL THREE PRODUCTS
This is a screen grab from inside the experience where you can see all three products as holographs. From this point the user can select which one they want to see more details of.

SIDE-BY-SIDE OF TUMORS
A side-by-side comparison of product was essential for this deliverable. We were able to take that comparison to the next level with four foot tumors that you can walk around to see the difference. See the video below for more details.

360° TUMOR ANIMATION
Here is another screen shot of a 360° 3D animation. This one is of the drug Oncozene as it penetrates a tumor.

3D ROBOT MODEL
This is the final approved model of the drone robot that presents the game to the user.
